The man they call "BoxeR" was at risk, and things looked bleak on the 3♣ 5♠ Q♠ flop as Thompson picked up a flush draw, which removed one of Lim's outs. The Korean player couldn't punch his way out of the situation as the 6♠ turn gave Thompson the nuts, which deliver the knockout blow.

A meaningless 5♣ dropped on the river, which left Lim on the canvas and headed to the payout desk.

Ryosuke Tomuro opened to 60,000 from early position and Gary Thompson three-bet to 160,000 from the cutoff. Jordan Westmorland then shipped it for 478,000 from the button, which got a quick fold out of Tomuro. Thompson mulled it over for a while, but eventually put in the call, which left Westmorland at risk.

Thompson had been caught with his hands in the cookie jar, but did still have decent equity to send Westmorland to the rail.

A flop of 4♥ 2♣ 6♣ was clean for Westmorland, but the 8♥ turn did mean he had to dodge a few more outs on the river. However, Westmorland needn't have worried as the A♦ rolled off on the river, earning him the double-up and a stack of over a million.

Gary Thompson raised to 48,000 from under the gun and Daniel Neilson called on the button. Teng Hoo also came along from the big blind.

They went to a flop of 8♦ J♠ K♠ , which all three checked to the T♥ turn. Hoo checked, Thompson fired 60,000, Neilson got out of the way, and Hoo dropped in a call.

A 3♦ fell on the river and after Hoo checked again, Thompson must have been in a darts mood as he threw in a bet of 180,000. Hoo didn't need too much time to think before he called.

Thompson quickly revealed K♥ Q♥ for top pair, but Hoo's J♥ T♣ was the winner as he turned two pair to take the pot.

After everyone folded to the blinds, Teng Hoo in the small blind completed and Gary Thompson, the current chip leader, decided to put the pressure on by raising to 70,000. With only about 400,000 behind, Hoo went into the tank to consider his options, especially since the tournament hand-for-hand.

After a few seconds, Hoo declared all-in for his tournament life and Thompson snap-called.

Hoo was quite satisfied when the hole cards were tabled until the dealer flopped 6♠ A♣ 9♠ which evoked a strong groan of frustration from Hoo.

That immediately changed when the T♦ came down when the groan turned into a cheer. Despite the railbirds chanting a six, the set of tens held when the 7♣ fell on the river.

Gary Thompson raised to 32,000 and Taiga Ishiwatari matched from the cutoff along with big blind Rosuke Tomuro.

Three players saw a flop of Tc 5h 4s then all checked to get a freebie Ts on the turn. Tomuro checked his option over to Thompson who put 50,000 in the middle. Ishiwatari called and Tomuro got out of the way.

A river 2s showed for the remaining two and Thompson fired 175,000. Ishiwatari tanked and used up a couple of time-bank cards before finally making the call. Thompson showed a Qd Td for a trip tens. Ishiwatari didn't bother opening his cards.

90,000 chips were in the middle with a flop that showed J♣ T♦ K♣ with two players in the hand.

Big blind Daniel Neilson check-called the 50,000 bet from Gary Thompson, who was in the cutoff. Both players checked down the 3♣ turn and advanced to the 2♥ river.

Neilson checked his option and Thompson counted out 110,000, then pushed it forward. Neilson took a moment and then fought back with a 280,000 raise. Thompson took one last look at his cards before bidding them farewell to the muck.

Gary Thompson made a 24,000 min-raise from early position and Ryosuke Tomuro defended his big blind for both to see a 2♥ 9♣ 9♠ flop.

Tomuro check-called the 33,000 bet of Thompson to see a Q♣ turn. This time, Tomuro check-raised Thompson's 40,000 bet to 93,000. Thompson used a time-bank card, but made the call to see a 2♦ turn. Tomuro fired 110,000 in the final betting round and Thompson stood down and surrendered the pot.
