WPT Sanya Main Event Final Table set, Qian Zhi Qiang chip leader

The 888 entries to the World Poker Tour (WPT) Sanya Main Event is now down its final nine aspirants bringing an end to Day 4 of the competition here.

Wu Xin became the bubble boy as his Ax3x wilted against the QxTx of chip leader Qian Zhi Qiang on a board of Kx9xXxJx5x to now bring to an end Day 4 of competition in the Main Event of the World Poker Tour (WPT) Sanya. Wu took home $18,200.

The remaining nine players now retire for the night to come back tomorrow (November 21st) at 12:00NN still here at the MGM Grand Hotel main ballroom for the finale that will award the top prize of $242,555 to the winner plus the title in the sixth edition of this prestigious undertaking in this island paradise.

One of the last two ladies standing busted out in fourteenth place as Team J88 Poker’s Jin Tian’s preflop shove with 6x6x was called by an opponent with Tx and an Ax came out on the flop giving her a decent payday of $15,100.

However, Tang Ying is still very much in the thick of things as this young lady who just picked up the game half a year ago is presently among the top three in chips.

WPT Beijing runner up Chen Ke is presently at fourth with 2,195,000 in chips.

2015 Red Dragon and Macau Poker Cup High-Roller champion Li Guang Yu also advanced to the Final Table and should bring a wealth of experience and determination to the last battle as he is dead set on achieving his goal of being a WPT champ.
