WCOOP 2015: $45 million guaranteed across 70 events

That time of year is once again fast approaching. The World Championship of Online Poker is an exciting series, with a huge array of talent on display, as vast prizes are won and gold bracelets are claimed. Another chapter in the history of online poker will be written come September, and the schedule has now been released for WCOOP 2015.  The most popular online poker tournament series will consist this year of 70 tournaments highlighted by the $5,200 Main Event with a $10 million guaranteed prize pool and a $51,000 Super High Roller tournament, the highest buy-in tournament in internet poker history.

WCOOP

$45 million are guaranteed across the 70 events of the series

The first event will be the $215 Sunday Warm Up event on September 6th, followed immediately on the same day, by the $10,300 Heads Up High Roller.

A few more Holdem events with a $109 – $215 buy in will follow late on the 6th and early on the 7th before a $700 6 max PLO event.

The 8th will start with the much anticipated NL Single Draw 2-7 Championship. September 9th will feature the $700 NL 5 Card Draw Championship, and a $320 Heads Up Holdem event.

September 10th has a Big Ante event and another PLO while September 11th will include the $1,050 7 Card Stud Hi/Lo Championship and a $320 Holdem Zoom event. The highlight for September 12th will be the NL Omaha Hi/Lo 6 max Championship with a $1,050 entry fee, although there will also be more Holdem events running through the day.

Over the following days, the $10,300 Holdem 8 Max High Roller stands out, as does the $700 7 Card Stud Championship on the 14th. The Limit Omaha Hi/Lo Championship with it's $1,050 buy in takes place on the 15th, with the $700 Badugi Championship starting early the following day. Two $320 events in the form of the PLO 8 Max and 8 Game, along with plenty of Holdem events will occupy the 16th and 17th with the $700 2-7 Triple Draw Championship getting under way on the 18th.

The $320 HORSE on the 19th will be one to watch for the mix game players, with the eagerly awaited $51,000 8 Max Holdem event on the 20th being the main attraction for Holdem enthusiasts.

There are many Holdem events scheduled between the 18th and 21st up until the $1,050 PL Omaha Hi/Lo 6 Max Championship on the 21st. The $2,100 Holdem event on the 22nd, along with the $1,050 Razz Championship are the main attractions for that day, with a $2,100 6 Max PLO Championship event taking place on the 23rd.

The final 2 days will mostly involve Holdem events and two Omaha Hi/Lo tournaments, with a $1,050 Limit Holdem 6 Max event at the end of the 25th.

The 26th and 27th will see highlights such as the $2,100 HORSE along with the $10,300 8 Game Championship and the $5,200 Main Event.

All in all, it is clear to see that there are many highlights in between the countless smaller Holdem events, in all formats with a great range of buy ins.

Progressive Super Knockouts feature heavily this year, and the buy ins for many events have been raised from $215 to $700. This has led to $45 million being guaranteed across the 70 events of the series.

In addition to the financial incentives, there will be a hotly contested Player Of The Series leader board, with prizes for the top 10 players through the series, and the winner being richly rewarded with a beautiful trophy, $20,000 cash, a TCOOP Main Event ticket, and abundant respect from fellow players.
