Save the date: Upcoming tournaments in Asia

September 23rd – 27th: Manila Megastack 3

The Philippines will be playing host to the Manila Megastack 3 series in the coming weeks, with a number of events scheduled to be hosted in the City of Dreams poker room, run by Pokerstars. The series will cover 5 days from September 23rd – 27th and will involve a PHP10,000 (USD$214) buy in Main Event, that will have a PHP2 million guarantee (USD$43,000). There is also a PHP50,000 (USD$1072) event for those who enjoy bigger buy in events.

September 29th – October 7th: Asian poker Series Manila

The Asian Poker Tour has a busy time ahead, with a Manila series, and a Cambodia series fast approaching. The Asian Poker Series Manila is set to take place between September 29th and October 7th and will feature a number of exciting events, from PHP 11,000 (USD$236) buy in Open Face Chinese, to a PHP11,000 Pot Limit Omaha event, with a PHP5,500 (USD$118) Ladies Event too. These are in addition to the eagerly awaited PHP108,000(USD$2,316) High Roller, and PHP50,000 (USD$1072) Main Event.

Meet "Legend" in the flesh at APTManila‬ from September 29 – October 7 

ANZPT to merge into the APPT – October 8th-20th ANZPT Melbourne

In further exciting news, the ANZPT which offers a number of great poker events in New Zealand and Australia, is to merge into the APPT, providing some extra stops on their tour. The final ANZPT event will take place in Melbourne between October 8th and 20th . Despite it's incorporation into the APPT, all of the buy ins and structures previously seen at the ANZPT are expected to remain in place. The APPT already has the Aussie Millions under it's flag, and this world renowned series will take place between January 13th and February 1st , also in Melbourne.

October 16th -18th: Vietnam Poker Cup 2

Vietnam Poker Cup will be hosted at the Ho Tram Casino this year, just two months after it's first edition. VPC2 will take place between October 16th and 18th and highlights include the USD$1,100 High Roller event, and the USD$550 Main Event. With the first VPC being a successful endeavor it is no surprise that the second installment is soon to arrive.

October 20th-28th: APT Cambodia

APT Cambodia will take place at the Queenco Hotel & Casino between October 20th and 28th. Events include a USD$220 Open Face Chinese event, a USD$330 Bounty tournament, a USD$1,100 Main Event, and a USD$2,500 High Roller. These are just a few of the great events on offer.

October 28th – November 2nd: WPT Sanya

The World Poker Tour will stop at the end of october in Sanya, at the MGM Grand Sanya, Hainan. As a Chinese event, there will be restrictions in place. There isn't a monetary buy in as such. The event is an invitational, which is only open to those who qualify through a Chinese gaming platform. The prize pool will be 8.88 million Renminbi, and the maximum entries will be 888. The event will take place between October 28th and November 2nd.

October 30th – November 15th: ACOP Series

The Pokerstars live room at City of Dreams in Macau, will be hosting the ACOP series between October 30th and November 15th. This series has attracted a large following in recent years and boasts the richest prize pools of any series in Asia. There is a Deepstack event with a HK$11,000 (USD$1,419) buy in and HK$1 million (USD$129,027) guaranteed in the prize pool. There is also a HK$15,000 (USD$1,935) PLO event, a HK$2 million (USD$258,054) guaranteed Holdem event, a High Roller with a HK$250,000 (USD$32,257) buy in, and the Main Event, with a HK$100,000 (USD$12,903) buy in and a HK$15 million (USD$1,935,410) guarantee.

November 12th -16th: Metro Card Club – Philippine Poker Championship

The Metro Card Club will also be hosting a large event between November 12th and 16th. The RVS Cup – Philippine Poker Championship, will involve a PHP20,000 buy in (USD$429), and a massive PHP5 million (USD$107,211) prize pool. Further scheduling details are yet to be announced.

November 16th – 25th: APT Vietnam 2

APT Vietnam will take place between November 16th to 25th and although the event schedule hasn't yet been released, it will undoubtedly contain many of the same favored events that have been seen at other APT events lately. The series will take place at the Ho Tram Resort Casino.

November 27th – December 3rd: IPO Manila

The IPO Manila has been confirmed , and will take place between November 27th and December 3rd , with at least 14 events expected. This will be the third edition of the IPO, which will be hosted at the Resorts World Manila poker room. There are more than 400 players expected to take part according to the organizers, with the USD$1,050 Main Event with it's USD$250,000 guaranteed prize pool, and the USD$3,300 High Roller, being particular highlights. With such a great new venue, there are high hopes for IPO3 being a great success.
