In January 2016, Richard Yong and Winfred Yu launched the first Triton Super Higher Roller Event in Manila. The 200k buy in event attracted the World Poker elite. Following the success of the event, an announcement was made stating that more “Triton Super High Rollers” could be expected.
Edit (25/10/2016): Schedule of the event has been adjusted
Winfred Yu, Poker King Club President, has confirmed today that the 2nd edition of the festival is on its way. The festival has been scheduled from November 2 to November 6th in Manila and will be hosted in the Poker King Club Venue at Solaire Casino Resort.
The series will feature a HK$200,000 ($25,700) Suncity Cup (freezeout) from November 2 to 3. The following days will see a HK$500,000 ($64,400) buy in Main Event (Re-entry + 1 add – on).
Stars Confirmed
Winfred Yu already confirmed the attendance of several members of the poker elite: John Juanda, Daniel “Jungleman” Cates, and Mustapha Kanit. Fan favorite Tom Dwan, who is rarely seen in public, was also in the list of confirmed players.
More pros are expected to confirm their participation. They will challenge business men from Hong Kong and Mainland China as previously seen in the first edition.
A memorable first edition
Hosted in Manila, the first edition of the The Triton Super High Roller Series featured a US$200,000 buy-in Main Event. An impressive 52 entries created a US$10 Million prize pool with Fedor Holz claiming the first place for US$1.5 Million.
The VIP Rooms of the Casino were also running spectacular cash games with massive pots in the duration of the festival. The biggest game that ran during this festival was a HK$20,000 Ante Only (US$ 2,560) game which required a minimum buy in of HK$10 Million (US$ 1.29).

More Triton Events
Manila will not be the only stop for Triton Super High Roller Series 2016. On the 8th and 9th of December, the Triton Series will be in Perth, Australia for an exclusive charity event.
