APPT Manila:  Total prize pools of $1.14 million 

Asian Live Circuit in Figures The APPT Manila has reached it’s conclusion and drew plenty players, with 2079 taking part in the series, and total prize pools exceeding PHP52,832,035 which equates to over USD$1.14 million. These numbers were generated across 14 different events.

 APT Cebu: 247 entrees in the opening event

APT Cebu The APT Cebu 2015 saw it’s PHP1 million guaranteed opening event attract 247 players. This ensured that the total prize pool cleared it’s guarantee comfortably, reaching PHP1.677 million. This is the equivalent of more than USD$36,000. Not bad for a side event. As for the Main Event, 160 players bought in, creating a prize pool of PHP7.36 million (USD$159,341.)

Vietnam Poker Cup: $8,800 added to the Prize pool

Vietnam Poker Cup World Gaming Group brings us the second major tournament on Vietnamese shores, as the Vietnam Poker Cup gets under way between August 21st – 23rd at Ho Tram Casino. There will be events with affordable buy ins going on throughout, including a USD$550 Main Event and a USD$1,100 High Roller. For the Main Event, USD$8,800 will be added into the prize pool creating some great extra value in the event.

Red Dragon: HK$5 million guarantee

The Red Dragon is one of Asia’s most prestigious tournament, and offers an impressive HK$5 million guarantee this year (USD$644,666.) for a  buy in of HK$12,000. The Macau Poker Cup will take place between August 28th and September 13th with the Main Event ” Red Dragon” kicking off on the 5th of September.

GPI Asian POY 1298 Points for Yingui Li

GPI Asian POY Race Asian player of the year is a great title to win, and the current leaderboard makes for interesting reading, with Yingui Li having extended a slight lead over the chasing pack with 1,630.01. The players trying to chase him down include, Terry Fan on 1,298.20, Naoya Kihara on 1,258.20, and Team PokerStars pro Diwei Huang with 1,218.80.

Meanwhile the APT player of the year race is also heating up, with three time back to back champion Sam Razavi having already won two side events in Cebu. He was alreading leading the race before coming into Cebu.
