Shingo Endo wins WPT Japan 2018 – the first stop in WPT Asia Swing

WPT Japan came to an end just a few days ago on September 17th in Tokyo at Bane Bagus Shibuya Poker Club. This was the first stop of a 20-day period called “Asia Swing” – a succession of events taking place beneath the WPT banner in different Asian countries, providing all players with the perfect opportunity to visit Asia.

WPT Japan Main Event took place from September 15th – 17th, featuring a buy-in of JPY 31,000 (~US$276). Three starting flights were held in Nagoya, Osaka and Tokyo (Shibuya) prior to Day 1D. Shingo Endo emerged as the champion after defeating a field of 322 entries. Since cash prizes are prohibited in Japan, players received their rewards in the form of WPT Passport credit which can be used for future WPT events.
