Profile

Martin Kozlov hails from Melbourne, Australia and is ranked 7th in the All Time Money List for Australia as of the date of this writing. Under the PokerStars username “nizmo jiz”, Kozlov has also showcased his poker versatility by earning over USD$400,000 online.

His performance in the live scene was first recorded in 2007 when he made it In-the-Money in the 2007 Victorian Poker Championships in Melbourne.  But he truly caught the attention of the community when he won the Main Event of PokerStars’ Australia & New Zealand Poker Tournament (ANZPT) in 2010, taking home USD$189,908.

He has been seen in final tables year after year since 2010.  In 2011, he placed 2nd at the 2011 Aussie Millions Poker Championship Melbourne Bounty Event which earned him USD$54,396.  In 2012, he once again placed 2nd in a Aussie Millions Event, this time playing Pot Limit Omaha (PLO) and he took home USD$ 25,737 for his efforts.

In October 2013, he ventured out of Australia and participated in the European Poker Tour (EPT) in London.  He showed the British his Australian talents by making it to the final table of the Main Event, finishing at 9th place.  He got USD$77,422 for his performance.

In 2014, he stood victorious at the Main Event of the 2014 Sydney Championships and earned another 6-figure amount (USD$158,906).

The year 2016, however, could be considered the best year for his live tournament performance.  At the 47th World Series of Poker (WSOP) in Las Vegas, Kozlov went deep in numerous events but most outstanding of his performance for the festival was when he placed 5th at the US$3,000 No Limit Holdem (NLH) 6-handed Event where he took home USD$110,389 and when he won the most coveted prize –  he took the US$10,000 NLH 6-Handed Championship down and won a WSOP bracelet and a USD$665,709 prize money.

In August of 2017, he outdid himself by once again exhibiting perfect form in a live tournament by winning the 2017 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open in Hollywood.  This victory gave him his biggest live cash earnings to date – a whopping USD$754,083.

Kozlov is definitely skilled both online and live making him truly a force to be reckoned with.
