Jonathan xMONSTERxDONGx Karamalikis - SOMUCHPOKER
Australian pro Jonathan Karamilikis began his poker journey by playing against friends in his hometown of Adelaide. He continued to play through his first year of university before giving up his studies and playing poker full-time.
Karamilikis soon found success while touring Australia and New Zealand‘s live tournament scene, winning APPT Sydney’s Main Event in 2010 for US$454,304. It was a spectacular end to a breakthrough year for Karamilikis, who also won an Aussie Millions side event for US$113,247, an ANZPT High Roller for US$108,273 and finished 446th in the WSOP Main Event.
Over the years that followed, Karamilikis continued to find success at live tournaments, picking up US$478,292 for winning the ACOP High Roller event in 2012, before taking 5th in the same event the following year for US$105,411. 2017 was also a very profitable year for the Australian pro, as he took 2nd place in the $3,500 Deepstack Extravaganza for US$429,611 before picking up another 2nd place in a $10K event at the Bellagio Cup for US$523,434.
In the online world, Karamilikis played under the screen name “xMONSTERxDONGx” and saw success at Full Tilt which offered him a sponsorship deal in 2010. Karamilikis remained a sponsored pro at Full Tilt until the site was shut down in 2011. Among his bigger scores online is a US$157,000 score in the FTOPS series, and he has numerous five-figure scores through his online career. This has helped him to become one of the top Australian players to have graced the felt, both online and live.
