The earliest recorded cash for Jae Kyung Sim came in March 2010, when he took 10th place in the APPT Manila Main Event, for USD$13,000. He followed that up with two more five figure scores over the next two years, before becoming a more serious live tournament player. May 1st in 2013 saw Sim achieve his first major cash, when he won the APPT Cebu Main Event, for USD$95,487. Many small cashes followed, until December 2013, when the WPT Korea Main Event provided a 5th place finish, and USD$21,400. Soon afterwards, he followed that up with 34th place at the Aussie Millions Main Event, adding a further USD$26,245 to his list of cashes. Over a year passed, but Sim eventually managed to hit another big score, when he took 6th place in a APPT Macau Poker Cup 23, Holdem side event. This added another USD$27,028 to his impressive list of results.

Jae Kyung Sim has been prolific in major events across Asia in recent years, and is certainly a name to watch in the coming years, as he works to add more titles to his growing list of accomplishments.
