Born in Singapore, Bryan Huang first encountered poker during a short stint in the military. When he later went to the university, he began to work harder at the game, and eventually it became a focal point of his life.

He has been a regular name on the live circuit since 2006, and is a member of Team PokerStars.

The first major result for Huang came in 2008, when he took home USD$153,841 for a magnificent 3rd place finish in the Asia Pacific Poker Tour (APPT) Macau Main Event. The Macau Poker Cup was the scene of Huang‘s next significant result, as he took 6th place for almost USD$26,000.  In  July 2010, he finished runner up in the Macau Poker Cup Red Dragon event for over USD$54,000 before taking 3rd in an Asian Poker Tour (APT) Philippines for USD$44,000. He added a further USD$30,000 to his list of cashes, at the Sydney Poker Championship in 2012.

In February 2016, Bryan Huang was chosen by Celina Lin to represent the Hong Kong Stars in the Global Poker League.  Huang ended the year with his biggest cash to date as the 6th placer of the last ever APPT Asia Championship of Poker (ACOP) Main Event for over USD$162,00 and placing 4th in the WSOP Sydney High Roller Event for almost USD$69,000.
