Christopher Michael Soyza is a professional poker player who hails from Malaysia.  Although more popularly known to play cash games, Soyza has held his own in the live tournament scene.

Soyza‘s name hit media the first time when he won the Asian Poker Tour (APT) Macau Pot Limit Omaha (PLO) event from US$10,699.  In 2 years, however, he caught the attention of the international community when he took down the Aussie Millions 2015 Accumulator event for US$111,520.  He won the exact same event the following year for US$102,118.

He has been making more waves in the year 2017.  In May, he finished runner-up in the APT Manila High Roller event for US$39,110.  In the same month, he flew to Macau to place 2nd in the Poker King Club Main Event for US$145,812.  In September, he proved victorious at the Macau Poker Cup High Roller Event for US$260,552.  Due to this victory, he has pushed Alan King Lau in 2nd place for the Asia Player of the Year 2017 (APOY) Leaderboard race.

As of this writing, Soyza is 5th on Malaysia’s All Time Money List.
