New ‘Monster Series’ set to begin at Partypoker

New ‘Monster Series’ Set to Begin at Partypoker

moster-series-blog

October 21st to the 31st will see a brand-new tournament series firing up in the lobby of Partypoker. The ‘Monster Series’ has pledged $5 million in tournament guarantees to participating players, and will feature tournaments at micro levels through to the medium buy-in range. Players can expect to see buy ins of $1.10 all the way up to $215 in this 11-day series.

This series will be divided into two distinct categories. The micro and mid-stakes levels will each have 70 tournaments for players to compete in, and many different formats and game types will be available, including PLO and Omaha hi/lo. Feedback from players has been the driving force behind this series, which is accessible to players of all levels. The micro Main Event will cost just $22 to enter, while the mid-stakes Main Event will cost $215 and feature a $1 million guarantee.

PartyPoker ambassador Natalia Breviglieri said: “The new Partypoker Monster Series is a fantastic initiative. Like me, there’s a lot of players out there who really enjoy playing low to mid stake Sit and Go’s or MTT’s and will relish the opportunity to compete in a tournament series tailored just for them. There are some really huge guarantees on offer throughout the Series and it’s clear that a lot of thought has gone into designing a schedule that offers a wide range of formats”.

Her enthusiasm was shared by Partypoker representative Bryan Slick who said: “Players have been asking for a mid-stakes series for a very long time, and we’re delighted to be able to provide it at PartyPoker, while also providing a first-ever micro-stakes series for our players”.

Rake Race

While the series itself is reason enough to be excited about October at Partypoker, there is also a rake race taking place during the series. In order to climb the leaderboard and win their share of $100,000 worth of Monster Series tickets and cash prizes, players must be sat at fastforward tables in one of the three buy-in categories. There are separate leaderboards for micro, mid, and high stakes games, with prizes offered to the top ranked 100 players in each division. The low and mid-stakes leaderboards run between October 12th and 22nd, while the high stakes leaderboard runs between October 21st and 31st.
