Natural8 GGSeries 2020s: SasukeUchiha wins Player of the Series; Elky and Bicknell claim titles, PocketJah and Trashdawg with monster earnings

22 days of nonstop games at the Natural8 GGSeries 2020s and just like that, the series is over! The series ran from April 5 to April 26. The final day drew the largest crowd of 42,379 entries. Nearly every event saw its guarantee obliterated to pay out a combined $ 5.976M across 51 games.

A thrilling finish at the GGSeries 2020s Player of the Series race. For 18 days straight, player WooKah commanded the board building a substantial lead of over 4,400 points by Day 19. With three days remaining, it seemed WooKah was a shoe-in for the title. However, the tides switched. On Day 20 and Day 21, WooKah was shadowed by the impressive run of second ranked player SasukeUchiha who went deep in numerous events to trim the gap significantly.

Trashdawg ships a massive $213K at the Phased Event

Only one player of the entire series can boast of a tournament payout in the $200K range. That player is Albania’s Trashdawg who slam dunked the $1M guaranteed Phased event. Not counting the Phased Events, for the fourth week in a row the Sunday Main High Roller tier paid out the largest of the day. This final Sunday Main High Roller tier generated the largest tournament prize pool of the series amounting to $ 693,500. Naturally, the top prize was just as massive – $143.7K – and it all went into PocketJah’s virtual wallet. PocketJah also cashed in several other events including the $1M GTD Phased event for a combined $ 241.2K. Like SasukeUchiha, Pocketjah gained just enough ground to overtake WooKah to finish 2nd in the Player of the Series race. This added another $ 29,000 to the day’s shipment for a total of $ 260K.
