Famous StarCraft “BoxeR” and “YellOw” rivals join J88Poker

Lim Yo Hwan & Hong Jin Ho

Former professional StarCraft Pro Gamers from South Korea, Lim Yo Hwan and Hong Jin Ho have signed sponsorship contracts with J88Poker at the end of May.

Lim Yo Hwan

Lim Yo Hwan, also known as “BoxeR”, is widely considered to be one of the most successful StarCraft players. He has been the first South Korean star to bring his country to the top of the StarCraft scene.

After retiring Lim Yo Hwan transitioned to poker. He plays both online and live since 2014 and has collected over $426,499 in live earnings on the Asian Poker Circuit.

It was all “YellOw”

Hong Jin Ho

Hong Jin Ho, also known as ‘YellOw’, is famous for never having won first place in major StarCraft tournaments despite strong performances. He managed to finish second place six times, which earned him the title “King of Silver“.

After the retirement, Jin Ho started participating in TV shows. His breakthrough as a popular TV star happened when he became the champion of the Korean reality game show “The Genius: Rules of the Game”.

In true Hong Jin Ho fashion, he finished 2nd in the J88PT Main Event in March. In the last hand of the tournament he had Q♠Q♣ against Chi Hang’s 10♦10♠, the final board 9♦7♥2♣10♣6♦.

Chen An Lin

Chen An Lin is one of the strongest poker players in Asia. He is well-known and ranked 5th in the HendonMob “Taiwan All Time Money List” with over $1 Million in earnings. His most significant victory was in 2018, when he finished 1st out of 2,499 participants in the Main Event of Macau Millions. Chen An Lin’s goal is to develop the poker industry in Taiwan. Together with J88Poker and Taipei ACE8 Club, he opened his own live poker show – “大亨的POKER HOUSE” on Twitchhttps://www.twitch.tv/pokerliveshow

Jin Tian

Jin Tian: When we think of female Asian poker players, the first name to come up is the poker Muse of China – Jin Tian. She is recognized not only for her angel appearance, but also for her professionalism and determination in the game of poker.

Chen Hao

Chen Hao made a mark with his first-ever victory of Macau Millions in 2014 and winning the WPT National 2016 Main Event. Chen is also one of the top Omaha players in China.

Justin Shin

Justin Shin started his pro career in 2010. After a successful online career he finally transitioned to the Asian live tournament scene in 2015. He became the champion of 2018 APT High Roller for $28.800.

Choi Chul Han

Choi Chul Han is a famous top ranked professional Go player from South Korea. The similarities between Go and poker attracted Choi Chul Han to accept the new challenge. He joined J88Poker in his quest to have poker accepted as a mind sport.

Kim Hak Do

Kim Hak Do is a famous comedian, who has never been afraid to stand up for the things he believes in. Even though playing poker is not considered legal in South Korea, he announced on national television that he will become a professional poker player to prove that it is a mind sport. J88Poker was impressed by his courage and decided to join him in the fight for legalization of poker in Korea.

J88Poker was launched in October 2017, the J88PT live events were held successfully in December 2018 and March 2019 in Taipei, which created many records in Taiwan and became one of the most popular live tournament brands.

As a new poker brand, J88Poker is not only focused on the Asian Poker Site, but is also putting in great efforts for the development of the Asian Poker business.
