Asian Poker Tour hosts its grand finale in Taiwan with NT$ 14 Million in guaranteed prizes

Back in late-February, the Asian Poker Tour hosted its first-ever Taiwan series. It paid out over US$ 2 million in prizes to make it the richest APT festival of 2019. After a very busy calendar season that saw the tour host 10 events around Asia, the APT is set to close out the year in grand celebration back in Taiwan.

Other Events

Aside from the headliners, the rest of the 24 event schedule is filled with fun games to tackle. Buy-ins range from a very affordable NT$ 5,500 (~US$ 180) to NT$ 88,000 (~US$ 2,900). The highly popular Monster Stack I event is not to be missed. It opens the series with a NT$ 2,000,000 (~US$ 65,500) guarantee. Buy-in is NT$ 16,500 (~US$ 540).

Back on the felt is the Ladies of Poker tournament with a buy-in of NT$ 7,700 (~US$ 250). This event has been on the APT shelf for sometime but with more and more women entering the game, it’s high time for a return.

For Pot Limit Omaha Hi enthusiasts, there are two events lined up plus a new variant, the 5 Card Pot Limit Omaha Hi. The game is just like the standard PLO but with one extra hole card making for a very tricky game. Rules are the same, players use two from their hand and three from the board. Buy-in is NT$ 9,900 (~US$ 325).

And of course for players that enjoy large prize pools and tighter fields, there are 6 High Rollers events scheduled. Three are two-day events and three are single day events. Buy-ins range from NT$ 55,000 (~US$ 1,800) to NT$ 88,000 (~US$ 2,900).

Early Bird Christmas Special

Recently announced, the APT will be extending special discount promos for players attending Main Event Day 1A and the High Rollers. For Main Event Day 1A, players will enjoy a NT$ 2,000 discounted fee to bring the buy-in down to NT$ 31,000. At the High Rollers events, players that pre-register the day prior will receive a 50% discount on the fee. More promos are offered. Visit the APT website for all the information.
