[Video] Asia Poker League Shanghai – Teaser

A group of topnotch players – a mixture of established and rising stars – will represent the Philippines in the second edition if the Asia Poker League (APL) slated on November 23 to 29 in Shanghai, China. Led by former Asian Poker Tour Main Event champion Mike Takayama, the Filipinos are looking to bring home the 3 Million CNY guaranteed Main Event plum as well as the prestigious Teams Event title in the series. Joining Takayama are GPI Philippines no.3 Adrian Brion, no.5 JC Sayo, no.6 Florencio Campomanes, and online wiz Jon Costiniano.

Korea will be respresented by Steve YeaSeung Soo and Mike Kim. Led by Denis Pham, Team Vietnam will also be in the place to defend Team Event Title.

The Main Event, which has a buy-in of $850, will begin on November 23 and will have five starting flights, the last on November 27, while the Teams Event will also be on the 27th with a buy-in of $550 per team. Aside from the Main and Teams events, APL Shanghai also offers a number of side events like the Warm Up, Pot Limit Omaha, the popular Deepstack Turbo and Bounty Knockout, the High Rollers and 6-handed event.
