Asia Poker League draws 562 entries to inaugural APL Hanoi opening event

Lighting up Vietnam this month is another Asia Poker League stop in Vietnam however it is not where you would expect it to be. Instead of Ho Chi Minh City, the brand brought their fun style of poker to Hanoi for the first-ever APL Hanoi at the Loyal Poker Club. The event is scheduled to run for 11 days. It set sail on August 6 and will conclude on August 16.

At the time of writing, the VND 16,500,000 buy-in Main Event has been up and running with the last of the four starting days currently taking place.

This created a very healthy opening prize pool worth VND 3,186,540,000 (~US$ 137,200). The event paid out 85 places.
