APT Finale Macau Championships: What players can expect

APT-finale-championships-macau-2

After 10 events staged throughout the calendar year, the Asian Poker Tour will be heading to the gambling mecca of the east to close out its 2017 season with the APT Finale Macau Championships. This upcoming event will see twelve days of nonstop poker festivities lighting up the felt from November 29 – December 10 at the Macau Billionaire Poker in the Babylon Casino.

In late July, the APT and MBP entered a five-year agreement that would see a minimum of two APT events per year held at the MBP. Included in the deal were the APT’s highly attended year-end games. With both brands experts in the Asian poker industry, players can expect the upcoming finale to be the biggest close out event of the year.

Side Events

In addition to the major events, players can also enjoy any of the 17 side events that will be buzzing up the MBP room all throughout the series. Some of the most popular are the Main Event Warm Up, Head Hunter, Monster Stack, No Limit Hold’em 1-Day events, and Deep Stack Turbos. Buy-ins for these fun-filled side events range from HK$1,650 – HK$7,700.

For players that prefer to wager larger stakes, the finale will have a High Rollers event taking place from December 5 -6. Entry fee is at a premium price of HK$43,000. The APT will be extending one satellite to this event at a cost of HK$3,600.

Special Events

Before all of these major and side events take control of the floor, kicking off all the festivities are two Special Events, the APT Game of Champions and the Super High Rollers. While anyone with HK$200,000 to burn can just jump on in the SHR and battle it out with the heavy hitters, the APT GOC is strictly by invitation. This is for all the 2017 APT trophy winners, the 2016 APT Player of the Year champion, and the 2016 APT Regional Player of the Year title-holders. As bonus, the APT will be adding a handsome US$10,000 to the prize pool.
