2020 WSOP Online – Natural8: Two ASIA time zone events this weekend; COLOSSUS & PLOSSUS final table race; GGPoker donates over $350K to Caesars Cares

The weekend is upon us which means numerous bracelets up for grabs at the 2020 World Series of Poker Online international leg. Events to look forward to are the two ASIA TIME ZONE events – $ 500 Deepstack No Limit Hold’em and $ 1,000 Short Deck No Limit Hold’em Championship – plus the $ 1,500 MILLIONAIRE MAKER [ $5M GTD ] and the $ 500 Turbo Deepstack No Limit Hold’em. For the latter, a $ 15,000 WSOP Europe Package was added to the first place payout. Tonight will see the return of the final 9 players of the COLOSSUS and PLOSSUS events. Both are resuming after a one week break and both will broadcast live cards up on GGPoker.TV. All the info on those games are provided in this article.

Just announced on WSOP.com, GGPPoker Ambassador Daniel Negreanu officially presented a check for $ 354,756 to Caesars Cares Charity Fund. The donation was raised during the WSOP #33: $1,111 Every 1 for Covid Relief [Caesars Cares] where 2,323 contributed $ 111 each and an additional $ 96,903 pledged by GGPoker.

GG Donatiom
Daniel Negreanu, GGPoker Ambassador, presents donation check to Ty Stewart, Executive Director, WSOP.

“We are incredibly grateful to our partner GGPoker for their contribution to Caesars Cares,” said Ty Stewart, Executive Director of the World Series of Poker. “This donation will provide needed support to Caesars Entertainment team members experiencing unexpected setbacks as we work towards resuming operations and restoring normal business conditions. As if GGPoker’s idea to direct a portion of the buy-in from each player to Caesars Cares wasn’t generous enough, we are absolutely floored and elated by their decision to contribute nearly another $100,000 to the fund.”

“The international poker community really stepped up this time, and GGPoker was there to push the effort forward,” said GGPoker ambassador, Daniel Negreanu. “We will continue to raise funds for worthy causes in the future, and I’m grateful to be part of something that’s helping to make such a difference.”

If you are just tuning in, the 2020 WSOP Online is running on two platforms with a combined 85 signature bracelets for the taking. We will have a final wrap on that once it concludes. Make sure to check our recaps for past winner stories.
