Day 12 of the 2020 World Series of Poker Online international leg, taking place on Natural8 – GG Network, awarded another first time winner. The newest WSOP gold bracelet owner was UK’s Patrick Kennedy “Muddington” who defeated two time bracelet holder Joshua Pollock at heads up of the $ 840 Bounty No Limit Hold’em event. With no prior WSOP stats, it is unknown if this was Kennedy’s first WSOP experience, however, what is clear is it was his first ever WSOP cash, one he will likely brag about for years to come. Read up on his victory via our recap.

For international players, the series opened on July 19 on Natural8 – GG Network running until September 6. Filling up the roster are 54 bracelet events. As of today, 12 days of games have already completed, 12 bracelets clasped, and over $ 19.8 million paid out in completed bracelet events. Open events and highlight events still to come are listed below which includes the upcoming $ 1,500 MILLIONAIRE MAKER [ $5M GTD ] and the prestigious $ 5,000 No Limit Hold’em Main Event [ $25 Million GTD ].

WSOP #45: $840 Bounty No Limit Hold’em – Patrick Kennedy – $ 245,448.39

The fourteenth bracelet event of the international leg – WSOP #45: $840 Bounty No Limit Hold’em – was a very popular one drawing a thunderous 2,382 field. This was the largest field to date for a single day event. After an eleven hour battle, rising to the throne to lock up the gold was Patrick Kennedy “Muddington” for his first known major victory and a whopping payout amounting to $ 245,448.39. Included in his winnings was a massive bounty reward worth $ 104,680.51. To emphasize how large that reward was, the next down the rung in just bounties was $ 18,089.05 earned by 6th placer Arie Kliper “abush”. Kennedy is now on board the WSOP Player of the Series race ranked 6th.

A rundown of the race, just before the ninth break of the day Arie Kliper “abush” grounded Japanese high roller Kazuki Ikeuchi “8809” in 13th place. This was another close one for Ikeuchi who missed the gold twice by one spot in 2018 and 2019. With 12 remaining, Patrick Kennedy “Muddington” delivered a double bust with JsJd booting MTT0516 AsKc and Scrm4k3r Ac4s on a board 2s4h10d7h2d. This awarded Kennedy the chip lead which he proceeded to carry into the final table after Kliper railed Alessandro Giannelli “GoldRush” in 10th place. Kennedy also had the largest bounty on his head.

It took nearly two hours for Kennedy to wrap it up and claim the gold. Among the players he faced were two time bracelet winner Joshua Pollock “kaledak” and Berrnardo Da Silveira Dias “GGeKKo”. Pollok was the only WSOP decorated player at the table and Dias was a near champion with 20 WSOP cashes that included a runner up finish at one of the events in 2017. Kennedy railed four players before facing off against Pollock at heads up.

Opening the final table, Chi Chung Ho picked up the first big pots. He doubled up through Arie Kliper then eliminated Panama pro Jose Severino “robertoduran” in 9th place. This was Severino’s fifth series cash and his deepest-ever WSOP finish. Kennedy busted Francesco Favia (8th) to claim his first final table bounty. Following out was Ho Yin Tai (7th) who fell to Franco Spitale. Kliper, who entered the final table running second in chips, only got as far as 6th place with Chi taking a big chunk then the rest to Kennedy. Kliper had the second largest bounty reward on his head that Kennedy also claimed.

After a series of hands with heavy pots won by each player, Dias called for all his chips on a turn board push by Kennedy. Dias had two pairs, Kennedy with a straight, Kennedy’s hand held and entered heads up against Pollock with a 3.5:1 chip advantage. Pollock put up a good fight, winning multiple big pots to trim the gap to near even. When the final hand arrived, Kennedy was only ahead by 3 bbs. Kennedy’s JdJh prevailed over Pollock’s 10s10d. This was Kennedy’s first known major win and largest career score.
