Jai Uthirapathy wins PLO side event
After a gruelling twelve hour marathon grind, Singapore’s Jai Uthirapathy took down the PhP5,000 (PhP4,600+PhP400) Pot Limit Omaha (PLO) Side Event at the “2M for 2K” tourney in MIKES ROOM here.
The 24 year old also claimed the top purse of PhP113,550 and outlasted Rafael Bandong in the ensuing Heads-Up battle.
Bandong had to settle for the PhP78,800 second place payout while Canada’s Christian Haggart finished third for PhP50,400.

2M for 2K Side Event Update: Ryan Hong takes down OFC tourney
Ryan Hong of Australia bested a field of eighteen players to emerge triumphant in the PhP10,000 (PhP 9,100+PhP900) Open Face Chinese (OFC) Pineapple Event of the “2M for 2K” tournament in MIKES ROOM here.
With only two places paid, the event ran for nearly eight hours before Hong upended Korea’s In Chul Sun for the PhP111,220 top prize . In got PhP47,666 for his second place finish.
Hong, a noted international and regional tournament grinder (ranked 135th in Australia’s All-Time list on hendonmob.com with a GPI of 1,251), arrived in the Philippines just two days prior but missed out on the Main Event.
It turned out to be a blessing in disguise as he captured the win in this Side Event.
